Endopeptidase
Enzyme that hydrolyzes peptide bonds within the interior of a peptide or protein.
Protease that cleaves internal peptide bonds. Gastric pepsin and pancreatic trypsin, chymotrypsin, and elastase are examples that initiate protein digestion.
