Food Record
Self-reported written log of all foods and beverages consumed, typically over three to seven days.
Also: Food Diary
Food records provide more detail than a 24-hour recall and avoid memory bias, but the act of recording often alters behavior. Weighed food records are most accurate but burdensome. Used in clinical practice and research, often as part of nutrition counseling for self-monitoring.
