What the research says
Propyl gallate at 7,450 mg/kg caused changes in blood, spleen, and liver in rats. Octyl gallate caused slight anemia at 100 mg/kg in rats over two generations. Dodecyl gallate caused reduction in spleen weight and pathological changes in liver, kidney, spleen.
