Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy
Endoscopically placed feeding tube that delivers enteral nutrition directly into the stomach through the abdominal wall.

PEG is the standard long-term enteral access for patients who cannot swallow safely (e.g., stroke with dysphagia, head and neck cancer, ALS) but have functional gastric emptying. PEJ extends the tube into the jejunum for patients with gastric outlet obstruction, severe gastroparesis, or high aspiration risk.
