Protein kinases

Family of enzymes that transfer a phosphate from ATP to another protein.

Enzymes that regulate target proteins via phosphorylation. Include cAMP-dependent PKA, AMPK (energy sensor), mTOR-associated kinases, MAPKs, and insulin-receptor tyrosine kinases.
